Jeff Dantzler is a longtime, award-winning broadcaster, speaker, writer and media personality who serves in a variety of capacities, primarily for the University of Georgia. Over his career he has broadcast thousands of events, games and shows. The play-by-play voice of UGA Baseball and Women's Basketball, Jeff also co-hosts the Georgia football pre- and post-game shows and the UGA Sunday morning recap show - The Bulldog Brunch - on the Bulldog Sports Network. On the SEC Network-plus he does play-by-play for men's basketball and women's soccer games, and has experience as TV lead for football, baseball, tennis, volleyball and swimming and diving.
Benefiting from his encyclopedic knowledge of sports, JD, as he is widely known, is a frequent guest on national, regional and web-based broadcasts and he also co-founded and serves as sports editor for Bulldawg Illustrated magazine.
No stranger to big events, JD has broadcast from College Football National Championship Games and major bowls, called three Final Fours, four College World Series, multiple SEC Championships and covered three Olympic Games (London, Sochi and Rio de Janeiro) for the Olympic Broadcasting Service, a worldwide network that distributes stories, highlights and interviews to over 200 countries.
A sought-after public speaker, Jeff is the regular emcee of the annual University of Georgia Circle of Honor hall of fame ceremony and has served as the Master of Ceremonies spotlighting numerous University of Georgia icons. In November of 2022, JD was the emcee at Hall of Fame UGA Football Coach and Athletic Director Vince Dooley's Celebration of Life. On January 12, 2023, he had the honor of emceeing Governor Brian Kemp's inauguration ceremony.
